Therapy for anxiety, overthinking, and constant internal pressure
If your mind feels like it rarely slows down, and you’re used to carrying a lot on your own, therapy can be a place where things start to feel a little more manageable.
No pressure. Just a conversation about what support could look like.
In-person therapy in Bradford, Ontario, and virtual therapy across Ontario.
This might feel familiar
You might notice yourself:
- going over things, again and again, to make sure you didn't miss anything
- second-guessing decisions, even small ones
- holding yourself to high standards, even when you're already doing alot
- struggling to relax, even when nothing is wrong
- feeling responsible for how others feel
It can feel like your mind is always working, and like you can’t quite switch it off.
How this pattern develops
For many people, this didn’t come out of nowhere.
You may have learned early on to stay aware of what others needed, to keep things steady and peaceful, or to avoid getting things “wrong.”
Over time, that can turn into a constant internal pressure to think things through, to get it right, and to stay in control.
It makes sense that your mind works this way.
But it can also become exhausting.
How therapy can help
Therapy isn’t about fixing you or pushing you to change quickly.
It’s a space where we slow things down and start to understand what’s happening underneath the overthinking and pressure.
Together, we’ll work on:
- noticing the patterns your mind falls into
- creating more space between you and those thoughts
- learning how to respond to yourself in a steadier, less critical way
- reconnecting with what you actually need and want
Over time, this can help you feel more grounded, more clear, and more able to trust yourself.
Areas I support
You might recognize yourself in one or more of these patterns.
Anxiety & Overthinking
Your mind doesn’t slow down. You replay conversations, analyze everything, and struggle to switch off.
Perfectionism & Self-Pressure
You hold yourself to high standards and feel constant pressure to get things right.
People-Pleasing & Boundaries
You focus on others’ needs and find it hard to prioritize your own without guilt.
Self-Doubt & Second-Guessing
You second-guess yourself and struggle to trust your own decisions.
Burnout & Exhaustion
You keep going, even when you feel drained, overwhelmed, and close to your limit.
Many people come in for one of these, and realize they’re all connected.
What it’s like to work together
You don’t need to come in with the “right” words or a clear plan.
Sessions are conversational and paced in a way that feels manageable.
Some days we’ll talk through what’s been weighing on you.
Other times, we might slow things down and notice what’s happening underneath it.
My role is to help you make sense of your experience, without judgment, pressure, or expectations to be a certain way.
